Tri-City TV, serving the areas of Bartlesville, Dewey and Nowata closed broadcast operations on June 3, 2009. We have now become a Non-profit entity called T-CAT (Tri-City Access Televison) We are planning to submit a proposal to The cities of Bartlesville, Dewey and Nowata to provide all Public, Educational and Government (PEG) Access programming as outlined in the Cable Act of 1984. The Act basically states that a cable company must, upon request from the city it serves, provide PEG access. Currently Cable One provides only city council meeting coverage. Bartlesville has not requested the initiation of full PEG programming yet. We will be encouraging the city to do so, using T-CAT as the PEG facility for educational and government programming. Essentially this offers Bartians total access to their city government through government programming. It also provides an outlet for school events and educational programming and finally, offers an avenue for non-profit organizations, including faith based ones, to perform community outreach. Join our group, let the city know you want this available.
